Ductless & Mini-Split Services
Heating and cooling for homes without ductwork — room by room, quietly, with no major renovation.
A large share of older Lower Mainland housing — character homes, beach cottages, post-war bungalows — has no ductwork at all. Ductless is what makes those homes coolable without gutting them.

FAQ
Ductless & Mini-Split — common questions
How many indoor units do I need?
It depends on your layout and how open it is. An open-plan main floor might need one head; a compartmentalised older home usually needs one per zone.
Is a mini-split quieter than a window unit?
Considerably. The compressor sits outside, so indoor noise is typically around the level of a quiet conversation.
Can a ductless heat pump heat my whole house?
With enough correctly placed heads, yes. In practice many homeowners use ductless heat pumps to cover the main living areas and keep existing heating as backup.
Why is my mini-split leaking water indoors?
Almost always a blocked condensate drain. It's a common and straightforward fix, but worth attending to quickly before it damages the wall behind.
Can I reuse the existing line set?
Sometimes, if it's in good condition and compatible with the new refrigerant. We assess it rather than assuming — a contaminated line set will damage a new compressor.
How often do mini-splits need cleaning?
Indoor filters monthly during heavy use, and a professional clean annually. Ductless heads accumulate dust and biofilm faster than people expect.
