Which BC rebates apply to your home?
British Columbia runs several overlapping rebate programs, and which ones you can use depends on what you heat with now, what you are installing, and your household. Answer six questions and see which apply to you — then what the job costs a month.
Why this does not show one big number
Every other rebate calculator in this market adds the programs together and shows a total. We do not, and the reason is worth two minutes of your time.
The three bodies that fund these programs — CleanBC, BC Hydro and FortisBC — do not publish a fixed table of amounts. Each routes you to a questionnaire or a rebate finder, because what you actually receive depends on household size, region, the exact model installed and the program's budget that year. On top of that, the rules changed materially in April 2025 for homes switching off gas.
So the figures beside each program below are program maximums — the most that program has paid — carried straight from each provider. Adding them up would produce a number nobody has promised you. What we do instead is tell you which programs your situation points at, link you to the body that actually decides, and handle the paperwork once you book. If a competitor's calculator gave you a confident total, ask them which of those three organisations agreed to it.
Confirm before you count on it: the CleanBC energy coach line is 1-844-881-9790 and it is free. We also confirm current terms in writing as part of every quote.
